Live at the Linen presents the Edmond Dantes release party at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at the Linen Building, 1402 W. Grove St. in Downtown Boise’s Linen District. $8 at the door. All ages, full bar (I.D. required), Pie Hole pizza. Plenty of free, off-street parking is available at the Linen Building. The genre defying duo Edmond Dantes (http://www.facebook.com/edmonddantesband) has wrapped up their first EP of original tunes. The EP, titled “Etta,” is set to be released on February 12. “Etta” consists of five original songs and will be available in CD form at The Record Exchange and download form at http://edmonddantesband.bandcamp.com. To celebrate this monumental accomplishment, Edmond Dantes will be having two, not one, EP release parties. Why two, you ask? Well, one is for the lovers and one is for the kids! 1. The 1st EP release gig will be at Neurolux on Valentine's Day (8 p.m.). At this gig, Edmond Dantes will be joined by a special guest. 2. The 2nd EP release gig will be at the Linen Building on Feb. 23. At this gig, Edmond Dantes will be joined by The Dirty Moogs, Hey V Kay and teen band Give Chase. In addition, former Trey McIntyre Project dancer and amazing choreographer Lauren Edson will debut an original piece of choreography set to the Edmond Dantes song “No Good So Good.” For a taster of the EP, visit http://edmonddantesband.bandcamp.com. Here’s what folks are saying about the EP: “This album will bend your soul over and give it a spanking!” — Andrew Stensaas, singer of Edmond Dantes “You guys must have turned the suck knob down when recording.” — Jared Goodpaster, co-worker “I really like the bass lines — turn up the bass.” — Vaughn, age 8 “I really like the bass lines, too.” — Enzo, age 12 “I’d buy it on iTunes, because most songs I like I wouldn't bother to buy them, but a song I really like I would buy. I’d buy this.” — Rain, age 10 “This song is like having a party.” — Zach, age 8 “This is almost as good as the video game I am playing on my iPod Touch right now. Leave me alone, please.” — Nate, age 8
