Since 1995 the House of Blues and Jazz has being a second living room for those who are hungry for quality live music and a home for blues and jazz musicians from all over the world. In fact, the first blues and jazz bar in new Shanghai. The present Bund location of House of Blues and Jazz is the fourth incarnation of this mainstay of the Shanghai live music scene, however with an increased capacity and an added Dining room is the best yet. They have been performing since 2005 when the prodigious guitarist Levi Platero was only 12 years old. Since that time, the Plateros play nearly 200 shows a year. In 2009, The Plateros won the award for Best Blues Recording at the New Mexico Music Awards. Saving Damsels, Indigenous souls rock-Albuquerque, NMSaving Damsels got its start in Spring 2007 when lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist J.J. Otero (Navajo/Hopi) strapped a guitar across his chest and put to music his lonesome story of having done a good woman wrong and broken up a home. Accompanied with other introspection and more songwriting, Otero soon had a collection of “earnest, honest, and original” songs and set about collecting a band. They have won NAMA awards and NM music awards. http://www.savingdamsels.com/ The Delbert Anderson, Trio-Jazz-Farmington, NM Formed in the deserts of the Southwest United States - DAT is a cutting edge jazz trio that combines modern funk and jazz with ancient indigenous melodies. http://www.delbertandersontrio.com/ Innastate, Reggae/Rock-Santa Fe, NM A band that was formed in 2014 is already garnishing acclaim with their unique approach to Reggae and Rock music and high energy stage presence. Q: The recording sounds awesome - are you releasing a full cd? Was it recorded locally?
A: We're really excited about how it came out! Frankly we're not sure what we're doing CD wise. We'd love to do a whole album of originals...but we're so busy with the local music scene as well as upcoming trip to NY - that we're not sure when we'll get back in the studio. It WAS recorded locally - Private message us for details!
