Much like the husband/wife duos at the creative core of Yo La Tengo and Sonic Youth, Burette and Gabrielle Douglas bring a sound all their own to The Cush—handcrafted psych-pop suites, sculpted with the help of vintage tape delays and the inspiration that can only come from enduring the frozen tundra environs of Burlington, Vermont. (The group's originally from the much toastier city of Dallas, Texas.)

With their sophomore release (New Appreciation for Sunshine) now available on Undertow Music Collective, The Cush has been tapped for the UK's Dream Machine Music Festival and plans on touring North America in anticipation of their third release.
