Bio
With catchy guitar riffs, ingenious melodies, soaring leads and unforgettable vocals that you will be humming for days, The Compromise has generated an enormous buzz in and around Murfreesboro and Nashville, Tennessee.
The Compromise is the sum of the following parts; Brandon Bell's vocals are made distinct by his ability to emphasize emotional depth and strike even the tightest of heart strings. Guitarist J.D. Short began writing original music and performing on stage within his first year of playing guitar. Bassist Adam Inman lays the foundation of the music with tight bass lines and great low end, and drummer Matthew Stark--always full of energy--has been compared to the likes of Travis Barker, Taylor Hawkins, and Stuart Copeland.
The Compromise is not your ordinary 'out of the garage' band. They have played with numerous chart-topping artists and groups, at numerous venues and festivals in numerous cities, of their own DIY accord and with no support from record labels or booking agencies.
The new year holds many promising prospects for the boys from down south. The greatest of which is their new record that is scheduled for release in April of 2009. The new full length album will include fan favorite and lead single "Like The Stars" as well as brand new tunes like "When Duty Calls" and "First Second Great Romance".
The album is, above all else, a giant step forward for the band in terms of performance, originality, and maturity. When asked what he expects from the new album, Brandon Bell, lead singer and rhythm guitarist, said, "I expect people to be surprised. I mean, I expect them to be pleasently surprised. I think that there are tracks on the record that people have come to expect from us, and that's great, because it means that we are fullfilling their expectations, but I also expect those same people to hear something that they didn't expect, and those are the moments that I'm looking forward to."
On what he expects from the band in the coming months and years, J.D. Short, lead guitarist, had this to say. "Making this record was not only a testament to our will, considering we recorded lots of it in just 24 hours, but it also proved to me how much we are all willing to do to make this a reality. Our fans are so involved and interested, it's really them who make us special. You know how some artists say they make their music for themselves, and some say they make it for their fans? I think we do both pretty well."
As said, the year ahead holds nothing but great opportunities for The Compromise, and they are looking forward to sharing their music and experiences with you, the real reason they do what they do.
