“The Chris Terra band filled the house with its slinky blues tunes - honest, gritty vocals over polished scales and shining guitar solos, the lead singer's voice taking on Louis Armstrong's raspy, love-to-death texture, which adequately balanced out the rambunctious style of the teen popsters.(2010 SAMMY Ceremony performance)”
“Ive been waiting quite a while to write something about Chris and the band and having had my first experience seeing him perform at the 2010 SAMMY Award Ceremony it seems like just the right time.
His eight song offering "Diesel" kicks off with a rollicking rave-up "Love in overdrive" and knowing his muse it brings an immediate smile.
Besides blazing guitar riffs, every good blues offering requires a great rock rhythm section and Pete Hagen on Bass/ backing vocals and Tom Fava on drums play their roles in spades.
Chris's penchant for a hook shows why his outfit is so popular live.
This is another in a string of excellent releases from one of Syracuse's own gems, here's hoping he just keeps on keepin' on, 'cause he's surely found his place. I highly encourage you to take in a show soon, this band is smokin'!”
“Guitarist and singer Chris Terra's already put 16 of his original songs out there with "The Blues is Drivin'" from 2007 and "Whiskey Hill" from 2006.
Both batches show that there's much more to Terra's band than the hot covers that make fans dance at his bar gigs.
Terra and mates already are working on CD No.3, "Diesel", and that's good news for Syracuse blues.”
