The Audibles formed in the fall of 2003, when singer/songwriter/guitarist Paul Vanderwal recorded a solo acoustic record with Rich Haddad at the engineering helm. Upon completion of the album, it was obvious that the project was begging to be fleshed out with a band. Rich started by adding bass, and friend and fellow musician Jay Curcio would not stop harassing the two until they let him contribute on drums. Hence, The Audibles was born!
