The Atkinsons are playing at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts for their First Fridays series from 6-8pm in the Atrium. The First Fridays series features an eclectic mix of multicultural performing arts showcased in different spaces within the museum. Take advantage of our extended hours on Friday evenings (we’re open until 9 pm) to also stroll through the galleries, explore the VMFA Shop, or enjoy dinner and drinks in Amuse Restaurant. The inaugural GRAZE on Grace event promises to entertain and satiate you with over twenty-five restaurants and at least that many specialty food providers. Hosted by Downtown Neighborhood Association, GRAZE on Grace benefits FeedMore and Slow Food, and is part of a roving food series where close-to-home food advocates are the focal point. A Fine Fall Feast The event takes place on Sunday, November 9 from 12-5pm and occupies three blocks on Grace from 4th to 7th Streets. Admission to this fall harvest is FREE and for just $3 per sample, the public can taste signature dishes from over 25 of Richmond’s finest local, seasonal and sustainable restaurants. The event will also offer fresh Virginia produce, meats, cheeses, herbs, artisan breads and confections straight from local organic farms and specialty food providers. Beverages will be provided by several of Virginia’s finest wineries and all local brews provided by Taste the Local program from Brown Distributing. As a part of Slow Food's efforts to provide educational, thought-provoking and award winning screening's focused on food, we are proud to partner with AppleCart to bring you Dog Days. Dog Days tells the story of an entrepreneur who takes a leap of faith to build partnerships with local mobile food vendors in D.C. to enable them to offer healthier and more diverse options to their customers.
