Texas Willie is a singer/songwriter and has been writing music and singing for over 35 years. Beginning in the bars and nightclubs of central Florida in the late 60's.
About
Bill aka "Texas Willie" has experienced a rebirth of the music he began writing as a teenager in Clearwater, Florida
His first effort, when he was 17 years old, was "Yes It's True"....(A thinly veiled attempt to lose his virginity)....Was written while sitting around a bonfire on the beach.
In July of 2007, he began writing again and the fruits of those efforts are here for your enjoyment.
His music is diverse and defies the most common practice of "pigeon-holing" that is apparent in the music of today.
Texas Willie delivers the music with soulful, heart-felt emotion that is obvious in the lyrics and the timbre of his vocals.
From the "tongue-in cheek" hit comedy song "The First Time I Met Ya" to the soulful "Clouded", Texas Willie performs with enthusiasm and feeling........
"On The Other Side" tells listeners, that no matter how hard they may try to hide from themselves and the spirit that lives in everyone....It is too no avail.
"Anticipatin'" can be interpreted in many ways by the listener...From a husband "cooling his heels" waiting for his wife to finally choose the dress she will wear.....To a person finally coming to a spiritual awakening.
Texas Willie continues "Studio Tracks 2007" with "Destiny" and "Comfortable Clothes" (dedicated to his wife).
"Destiny" speaks about the way life unfolds before us all and the need for everyone to look for their path in life.
