Have you ever eaten ice cream too fast, got that headache and then you spilled the words out all wrong. Well that is me. I decided to dig my old Peavey Fury (bass) out of the closet. It has been about 15 years since I last played it. I plugged it into my FirePod, booted up Logic Express picked a bass setting and to my surprise I was extremely happy with what I heard.
![]() I recorded two acoustic guitar parts on this song. I tuned in C. I dropped the bass completely during the middle lead section. The acoustics seem to manage without the bass just fine. I inserted the bass on the final verse and chorus to reflect what I did at the beginning of the song. This is a bit of an experiment and I'm somewhat pleased with the hard sound I got from the acoustics. ![]() Oh yeah... and then there's “Bucket of Suds”. Man we use to play this way to fast. This is my home recollection. Not much for lyrics but I tried to add some licks here and there. Hope you enjoy... ![]() You ever wonder what's behind those eyes. You pass people every day, those looks in their eyes never show difficulties they struggle and you haven't a clue. I on the other hand got this place to spill. Life deals you and some times it just ain't fair. Some one told me once this song just didn't make any since. It does to me, it's in my head... and it's time to pick up those pieces. ![]() Ride the Wind is a tune I wrote many years ago. On this version I have invited Robert Andrews to sing the vocals. Not only did Rob sing the vocals, he modified the lyrics as well. Thanks Rob for making a difference. If you get a chance check RC Andrews site out right here on Reverb Nation. ![]() No need to buckle up. ![]() Empty Space...On this collaboration I was fortunate to hook up with some macjam heavy weights and a long time friend. Without these people this version would not have been possible. Many thanks to their efforts and the support they provided me in this time of need. The song is about a close friend of mine who took his life over a relationship. I speculate in the lyrics what he might be thinking and may have wanted to say to his wife before he died. This happened a long time ago. May he rest in peace.
