Terry Tuck / Press

“BASS PLAYING AT ITS FINEST!!!, Desert Wind (MP3 Music) I have owned this complete mp3 album for a few months and all I can say is that Mr. Terry Tuck can play the Bass with the best of them, which for me is Stanley, Marcus, and Victor. If he also composed these songs, then he is one hell of a writer as well. The Title cut, along with Harps off the Willow, and the mellow But I Love You, featuring outstanding vocals from Nkenge would be enough for most CD's. But when you listen to In The Beginning, Undiscovered, and My favorite, When You Move Me, you start to realize that" THIS IS SERIOUS BASS PLAYIN HERE!!" Bass players such as Mr. Tuck, Julian Vaughn, Jeff Allison, & Terrance Palmer have made my eyes open tho the new generation of bass geniuses that are out there (Apologies to all that I have left out, wouldn't have enough characters if I didn't). This is music that smooth jazz fans will want to hear!!!”

“Here's What the Sound of Smooth Sounds Like! It is apparent that this artist has successfully unlocked the code to appeal to the senses! This bumpin' groove is musically stimulating from cover to cover. He has united a cast in this tune of great tones, a catchy melody, and a finger snapping - foot tapping rhythm that attracts the mind to listen to Undiscovered over and over again! Wow!”

“Grammy bound! Great song!! I love jazz and this is one that I have added to my collection. The artist has a special flare playing the bass guitar. I look forward to his next release, I know it will be excellent.”

“Like a warm breeze, here comes Terry Tuck with the brand new release, Desert Wind. The ballad, "But I Love You", has an old school type of feel with beautiful vocals, "Harps Off The Willow" is full of uptempo fire, and on "When You Move Me", Terry lays down that groove that fits right in your smooth jazz pocket (I hear me some Wayman in there). I hear desert winds can be pretty fierce. Terry Tuck is living proof.”

“If you'd like to experience a Smooth Jazz listening pleasure that you have not had an opportunity to do so in a very long time. WJMX Smooth Jazz Digital Radio invites you to experience the Smooth Jazz touch of Terry Tuck's highly anticipated release of his new CD "Desert Wind". When we first listened to the popular pre-release of one of the tracks "Undiscovered", we knew this was going to be an a Smooth Jazz satisfaction that everyone would enjoy for decades to come. The tracks on Desert Wind take you far away to a place you've always dreamed of and brings you back again with a breath of fresh air that truly soothes your mind, body and soul musically. The first thing you realize as you are listening to all of the tracks is the in step rhythm, blend of instruments that merge perfectly together and back up the Smooth Jazz voice of "Nkenge," as she hypnotizes you with a voice that can only be described as one of the smoothest female voices that has ever graced your ears.”

“This CD is killing and the singer she is awesome I love her voice. I wish you much success and I hope they have enough sense to play this record.”

“I've been a fan of Terry Tuck since he introduced me to his first single "Undiscovered" in 2011. I was instantly hooked and added it immediately so everyone who listened to smoothjazztampabay.com could hear it! Terry has unleashed his amazing talent upon us with an entire CD called "Desert Wind." Terry's wife Nkenge appears as lead vocalist on the track "But I Love You" (Phyllis Hyman). Terry added that his friend Wayman Tisdale encouraged him to do this CD. Wayman is definitely smiling in Heaven..”
