Friday Night Live at The Mockingbird ASG’s “Friday Night Live at The Mockingbird Cafe” songwriter series continues this week with Teresa Neal as host. Guests are Austin's own songwriter Steve Brooks, well known for his successful songwriting, and Darcie Deaville, the fiddler & mandolin player in the legendary Austin Lounge Lizards, just back from a tour of Israel with "Woody Sez," a multi-award winning musical theatre production. The feature set from these three fine songwriters runs from 8:00-9:30 this coming Friday evening, September 13th with an open song circle to follow. This is an inspiring and entertaining evening of story and song in the making, and we need you to make it complete. Please mark your calendar as your lucky night - Friday the 13th - to experience this one-of-a-kind evening at The Mockingbird Cafe with these writers, performing together and sharing stories about how their songs came to life. This performance will be followed by an open song circle for those who want to hang out after the show. Bring your instruments with you and join in the pickin’ circle. Doors open at 7:30 with the songwriter in the round set kicking off at 8:00 sharp. The event is open to the public, general admission tickets are $10 at the door or VIP tickets for $15 with a complimentary beer or wine. Also a BYOB affair, feel free to bring your favorite adult beverage. ASG will have soft drinks and snacks available for purchase as well.
