Great music there ! I'm liking it. I have a song which might appeal to you called "Mahevac" - it's a purely percussive piece... but anyway, keep doing your thing guys.

Q: Hello Dabi, I stumbled on your profile while looking for more information on talking drums. Would like to ask if you give online lessons on how to learn talking drum. thanks

A: The answer is NO The Yoruba talking drum is not a violin, piano or guitar..it s a traditional drum,a very special one that represents a tribe . Since inception, the talking drum is played uniquely by the Yoruba people, although many other African tribes play talking drums, majority sometimes do not go beyond the peripheral to display the exact meaning but only showcase basic rhythms of drum conversations. However, given the aphorism that a thousand mile begins with a step, the drum music culture has gradually carved a niche for the Yoruba race given the deep and enviable messages it relays while being played. To learn it well you need to learn it 1 on 1 from a Master. I hope this answers your question .Thank you Sir.
