Syrrah / Press

“Although there is a theatrical aspect to Syrrah, the level of musician-ship is such that it does not upstage the music. While you may be drawn in by the theatrics, you’ll stay for the music. These guys would appeal to people who dig the odd metal song but aren’t sold on the whole, head-bang-yourself-into-a-coma heavy metal.”

“One noticeable song that we can't ignore is "Succubi," a first-person story of meeting a woman in a bar and repeating to her, "Let me stick my tongue in you while you close your eyes." The song builds into something that is almost too excessive to be taken seriously, on the verge of becoming reminiscent of Tenacious D, but recovers by the end of the track.”
