Switchpin / Press

“If metal was a sport then Switchpin would have four Mayhem Festival medals dangling from their well headbanged necks. They have gone 4 for 4 playing regional Mayhem Festivals on the Jagermeister Stage with #4 being July 17th in Denver, Colorado. Besides Mayhem they have performed and toured with Korn, Slayer, Pennywise, Hatebreed, Type O Negative and a whole bucketload of others over their extensive career. Switchpin songs are catchy hook monsters and live they have been known to sell power back to the city after their set from the energy they generated on stage. (Switchpin: The Environmentally Friendly Mosh Makers ™) They are also known for their senses of humor which is why I put them in the universally feared interrogation device known as “The Gauntlet.” ”

“Already Vets of the Mayhem Festivals, Switchpin brings it loud and heavy! Pat Anderson, Switchpin’s demolition drummer, had this to share about the band’s experience.”

“Switchpin is a monster of a Colorado metal band. How monstrous? Let me put it this way. If there’s ever a documentary made about Switchpin for television the voice over will be done by one of the members of the original Star Trek cast (No not Shatner, one of the other ones.) and it will be filled with slow-(over-dramatic)-mo scenes with Cloverfield type screams. That kind of monstrous. Switchpin has toured extensively, put out some very successful and awesome CDs, and opened up for many of the absolute biggest metal bands there are including Korn who they played with in Rapid City, South Dakota about a month ago. Oh and 2010 marks their third straight year on the Mayhem tour including some dates outside of Colorado. If you play the Mayhem tour 3 years in a row you are either doing something very right or you have some good pics of someone doing something very wrong. Either way Switchpin kicks major ass.”
