Susan, Be Anthony! / Press

“Much like the pioneers of the Punk Rock, Susan, Be Anthony seems to have come out of nowhere and taken the lead in forging a new and edgy brand of music that has taken the local Punk Rock genre to new heights that seems to be boundless. The most surprising thing about Susan, Be Anthony is not the amazing music that pours off the stage as they rock into the souls of their listeners, it is not the surprising unity they seem to have with their music that is the definition of simpatico. The most astonishing nuance of this band is that, though they seem to have the talent that can only stem from decades of musical experience, they are by all standards, relatively new to the professional music scene. While many bands play music, the true benchmark of a great band is the natural ability to feel the music and to covey that feeling to their audience, Susan, Be Anthony is without any doubt, just such a band, as the music clearly originates from their hearts, not their instruments. ”

“Young talent. Turn out Jan. 7 to see rising under-21 bands pursue their dreams at Basement Transmissions, 1501 State St., in "All-Out, All-Ages Warfare." The bands picked by BTR co-owners Jordan Walker and Bob Jensen -- the Hannigans, Barlow, Good Weather For Ducks and Kevlar -- will compete to be on the first-ever, split CD by the record label with Zombi-hardcore act Susan, Be Anthony! Admission to the 5-10 p.m. event is $5”

“Switching up, Susan, Be Anthony! Melted our faces with their gritty, yet melodic, post-apocalyptic sound. Still in high school, they play record-label tight.”
