Bio
SUPERFORTRESS is the electro-punk band led by Japanese musician Nao in New York City. His music is receiving acclaim from publications such as The Village Voice, and often compared to David Bowie, Duran Duran, and The Human League.
After releasing a self-titled album in 2005, SUPERFORTRESS made a promotional trip to Germany in February 2006 to perform at the famous White Trash Fast Food venue in Berlin. In the same year, they participated in a MTV Asia sponsored event & appeared at M.E.A.N.Y Fest & CMJ Music Marathon. The tune, "Missing People" was in heavy rotation on many collage radio stations.

In the spring of 2008, SUPERFORTRESS released an EP "Candy Apple II,"(includes a song mixed by BILL RACINE - Rogue Wave, Mates of State, Hopewell & The Flaming Lips) and played the critical opening slot for Gil Mantera’s Party Dream at Knitting Factory NY. The first video from the EP "New Day" has debut on Chicago's legendary independent music channel JBTV on the 4th of July weekend.
Currently SUPERFORTRESS is working on some new tunes.
