"Second last act on the night go by the name of SUBJECT MATTER and as soon as they took to the stage it was straight into things. Opening with a song called “Give It To Me Straight” just flies into it. It also gives the band a bit of a punk sound too, but when they kick off the very catchy “Hey! Hey! Hey!” bit, you have to draw a comparison with THE RAMONES when you do hear it. It is a really good song when it gets going. Second number up was “See Through Souls” which is a new song from the band. Carries a good sound with the intro and it is carried on some solid playing that sees the song deliver on what it promises from the first chord, even if it does take a bit to get going. But some things are worth waiting for. “Death By Monkies”, while not a bad way to go, was the band’s closing song. This one rocks out and has a pretty intense bass line on it. But the front man of the band really gives it socks too."
