Stranger In The Alps is an electric instrumental improvisational band based in Vancouver, BC, dedicated to performing original and also freely improvised songs which emphasize communication and spontaneous musicality.  Adam Tryczynski (guitar), Chad Taylor (trumpet and Hammond Organ), Joel Kerr (bass) and Mike Dawson (drums) draw from their numerous and varied influences to create a blend of jazz, funk, electronica, avant-garde, and rock that is unique, energetic, powerful, and above all else, creative.
