Storm King was initially formed in April of 2006 by Scott Massie (Bottomfeeder, the Bully Cats), Adam Weston (Afterlife, Monolith) and Tom D’Andrea (Unfortunate Friend, Pittsburgh Fire Fighters Memorial Pipe Band), with the addition of Andy Kichi (Enemy Mind) and Mark Bogacki (Complete Failure, Enemy Mind) just months before the band recorded their demo EP, THE FIRST FOUR SONGS, at Treelady Studios and played their first show at the Smiling Moose in April of 2008.
