About
THE STORY OF STiiLPOiNT
The Atlanta rock sensation known as STiiLPOiNT was founded in 1999 when charismatic songwriter/front man "The Rocker" Brandon Seay joined forces with drummer “Q ball” Nelson Markham and bassist Matt Dameron. The band hit local bars and venues and quickly became a hit with audiences of all ages landing their first break at the legendary Masquerade, sharing the bill with Anthrax at Metal fest 2003. Soon though, STiiLPOiNT would be sidetracked as the bands thunderous rhythm section chose to break away from the underground rock scene, converting the project into a one man show
Not to be shaken by this obstacle Brandon would go on to record STiiLPOiNT’s first three albums, rocking every instrument, harmony, vocal line, and Even creating an innovative way to deliver the same powerful sound of a three piece band to a live audience of intrigued fans. STiiLPOiNT continued to pick up steam as "Q ball" and Matt Dameron reunited with Brandon in 2006 recording a four song endeavor entitled “STiiLPOiNT”. After seeing what the band had to offer live, Indie label Southern Metal Records” called the band in for a meeting and signed them on the spot. STiiLPOiNT then hit the studio to record their S.M.R. debut album “Bleed Every Note” and went on to headline and open for countless national and regional acts on the “Bleed Every Note” tour.
Unfortunately due to financial situations, the label sank in the summer of 2007 and would not allow STiiLPOiNT to use the band name "STiiLPOiNT" or any material they had recorded while on the label. A discouraged "Q ball" and Matt Dameron decided to retire from music, Leaving "The Rocker" was once again left flying solo as an unknown hacker hacked into The Official STiiLPOiNT Myspace page and deleted it, costing the band nearly 18,000+ friends and over 20,000 plays and profile views which would cut off all contact with nearly every fan that the band had acquired since it's inception. Months pass and everyone is slowly beginning to forget about STiiLPOiNT, leaving Brandon Seay no choice but to start a new project from scratch. He immediately hits the road performing under stage name "The Rocker Brandon Seay" and although a valiant effort was put forth, The new project was not taking off as Brandon intended as he was devastated to see less and less fans attending shows.
BUT THEN when all hope was lost, Seay soon finds out his former Record label's Trademark application for the Name "STiiLPOiNT" was some how denied and he immediately applied for the Trademark and was Granted Ownership! A New STiiLPOiNT Myspace was then created and Brandon would work to single handily acquire the page over 100,000 plays and Profile views and over 20,000 friends, Earn the number one spot on the Reverb Nation charts for Georgia by acquiring over 24,000 fans with over 70,000 plays knocking off the major label band that held the spot for over 3 years. New members are soon found as STiiLPOiNT would go on to win Kiss 102.7FM's Battel of the Bands and top it off by writing the number One song in The United States in unsigned Artist for March 1st 2008 on OurStage.com
and Now With all new members in Bassist Caleb Tipton and Drummer Nick Carroll, STiiLPOiNT has already Won Gorilla Productions Battle of The Bands at 'The Vinyl' in Atlanta and is gearing up to take STiiLPOiNT to new heights. Check back for more updates Soon!
