Bio
In a sea of endless white boy blues bands and tired old riffs, there is one cat that stands out from the crowd. Vancouver based Steve Kozak is that man. Harkening back to sound of the juke joint, traditionalist Kozak has been raisin' the roof with some smokin' vintage equipment all along the west coast for nearly three decades.
Kozak, a bluesman's bluesman, has surrounded himself with a stellar array of seasoned Blues veterans.
Steve’s resume for 09 includes backing Big Joe Louis from the UK,
Chicago native, Tom Holland, guitarist from the James Cotton Band and Blues legend James Harman.
Steve is excited and proud to be hosting a brand new Thursday night Blues Party & All-Star Jam at the Yale starting in July.

Steve and his band have just released his brand new CD entitled ‘Hoot ‘N Holler'. This album is Kozak's third release and his first featuring almost entirely original material. Ten of the thirteen tracks included were written by Steve with one track being co-written with long time friend and producer Jack Lavin.
This new album is a celebration of love, life, survival and good times. It was recorded in a manner to best reflect the energy and feel of a live performance of the band where ever they perform.
