Q: what is the "black holiness church"?
A: Hi Russ, thanks for your question! I'm not part of that tradition, but did have some colleagues in Kansas City who were. The Black Holiness Churches are connected with the Pentecostal tradition but because of institutional racism in the culture and within white churches tend to identify more strongly with their experience as Black folks surviving in a hostile climate.
