STEPHIE PEEKA & THE SEEKING 7 BIO:

From the land of the pilgrims & indians, AMERICA's HOMETOWN~ PLYMOUTH MASSACHUSETTS is Stephie Peeka & The SEEKING 7.

MOODY NEW ENGLAND ROCK N ROLL,
led by the new and unique female voice of SINGER/SONGWRITER/GUITARIST, STEPHIE PEEKA, SeeKing 7 is part of the ROcK n RoLL REVOLUTION.

In her teens, Stephie was asked to join on guitar for the all-girl band, BARACUDA. They were based in Las Vegas and relocation would have been required. "I was way too immature and insecure to do it then", she says. "It was enough at the time to just be asked to join. The call from their management came at a moment in my life when I really needed direction and I mean literally. I was in a deep depression at 16 and crying in my bathroom about my life and in a real dark place. Then Baracuda called and it was a gift from above of hope. Even tho it didnt go further than that, it was what I needed to pull me out of the dark. So thanks Baracuda!" Plus, her 2 biggest female influences had gone the path of the young all-girl bands early in their careers. "It was also encouraging to me since Suzi Quatro and Joan Jett both did the all-girl band early in their career. Seeing what came of it in each musicians lives, it wasn't meant to be for me."

She then began studying acting, of all things, in Boston at CP Casting and did numerous background acting roles and a starring role in a Mass College of Art film. Stephie earned her Screen Actors Guild card and is a member of SAG.

February 2003 (under the name, Peeka's Quest) we had our first gig", she says. "Jeff and I went into the studio in May 2003 and tracked the first album, 11 tunes in one day! Well, drums and guitar. I did vocals, bass and overdubs with Joe (Clapp) engineering after that. Sean (McLaughlin) had spent a few years engineering in Los Angeles and when he returned I asked him if he wanted to play bass w/us. He said yes and began playing out for the first album w/us as a trio, a powerful trio. Jeff and Sean are tremendous players and really make me sound good!"

"When we started to track the 2nd album on January 2nd 2005, Sean did the bass, Jeff the drums and me on guitar w/Joe engineering proper. This album is 15 songs (the 16th song is goofy outtakes from the studio sessions) of my journey and I am grateful all these guys were part of that. They are amazing musicians and great guys. That's the scoop on how the road began..."

She is joined by DRUMMER JEFF ARMSTRONG/VOX
and SEAN MCLAUGHLIN ON BASS
and now, JOE CLAPP ON GUITAR/VOX
that creates an evocative hybrid of ROCK N ROLL,
punk, alternative, and funky melodic songs containing passion and vision.
