About
Project STARGASM was started by Schmerz Meister in September 2006 in an attempt to create a combination of techno/dance beats, pop melodies, and heavy guitar riffs. After the first recordings were made, it became quite clear that a unique style of music was born. When Schmerz Meister posted the tracks on a newly launched MySpace page, he received many requests to add vocals. Soon after that, Schmerz Meister invited a young and promising singer Mad Commander to join the project. The lyrics developed a story about a group of rebel aliens, who roam the 'endless seas of space' in their battleship STARGASM. For the recording of their demo CD, the project expanded to include Iron Fist (bass) and Angelique Pleasures (vocals), who was later replaced by Princesse DeGlace (keyboards/vocals). Iron Fist with his powerful bass lines added a heavy punch to the music of STARGASM. And Princesse DeGlace's heavenly vocals and keyboards made the sound even more unique. The band played several shows in Las Vegas. STARGASM 's first show on Earth took place at The Box Office on July 14, 2007. Many fans finally had a chance to see them live and sing along their favorite songs. STARGASM got some airplay on X107.5 LAS VEGAS radio station as well as WFTB (Alameda, CA) and Malice Radio (Harrisburg, PA), appeared at the AMPLIFY!! Independent Music comp-fest in August 2007 and 2008, as well opened shows for THE BIRTHDAY MASSACRE in September 2007 and W.A.S.P. in March 2008. Their first full-length CD, which features eleven original songs, was released by D+D Records on October 9th, 2007. Towards the end of 2007, in order to strengthen the line-up for live shows, Iron Fist and Mad Commander were replaced by GunBlade Knight and Atrum Cupido respectively. In July 2008 drummer Marz Metzger joined the band, following Atrum Cupido’s exit. At the present time, the band is working with Eric Gast of FM World Charities on their next full length CD "Cyber Lovers" as well as playing live shows in the Las Vegas area.
