(The artist formally known as Garland Headley), and his forth-coming album"Hood Life Chapter: Ain't Neva Been Gone"

Like the FORD Company Garland... errr - Spyder G decided to "RETHINK" his market position and utilize all of his resources as a respected artist among his colleagues. "I wanted to take a year off after spending two years promoting 'Dimensions of Faith' (Nominated for Outstanding Christian Album Recording and Best Album Design PMA 2001) So that's what he did and out came this "New Vehicle" of bumpin' hip hop Anthems, caressing praise worthy Thug-lovin' rhymes, melded together by some good 'ole fashion Old school back beats. Spyder G stepped in the mainstream genre of hip hop with his first single "Hip Hop Anthem" said to be "...the one to blow up off the charts like Pele on Steroids!" – S.G. He then followed up with "Cant Hide Pretty" equally successful to his fans as well!

"On a personal level I think that this is the most honest work I've accomplished yet. I don't wanna sound like I'm blowing my own whistle but I really think this will be quite successful! And to answer your next question... yes I had to get into a totally different headspace for this album! It was a heck of a challenge! Not because of any "skill-set" reasons...(laughs) "oh... not at all". I've always been articulating enough to translate exactly what I want to say to any jargon, which I'm addressing. It was a challenge because; and when listening to the album you'll realize this... I had to revisit many repressed and belligerent times – experiences of my friends that significantly affected me and even some of my own parodies." S.G

Spyder G has also done his share of legwork to gain the trust and respect of both his fans and promoters to his hometown. He has Opened up for many major label artist which to date includes:Joe Budden, Baby Cham, Lloyd Banks, Mobb Deep (cancelled), Fabolous, Mario (cancelled), and at the time of writing is contracted to Open for CHOCLAIR, Joe Budden W/Host Matte Bable, and the Ying Yang Twins. He is no stranger to smaller cabarets and his own shows. This is an upcoming artist that is a strong contender for the mainstream airwaves!

Now on his third album "Hood Life Chapter: Ain't Neva Been Gone", Spyder G has again advanced his approach to a clear definition of his personal style. He found himself a like-minded artist in the person of Hip Hop music producer – Gypsie of Gypsie Productions who's repertoire includes working with Jive Records and collaborating on the sound track for the movie Cloverfield that launch in Theatres Jan 2008. It was a Match made in heaven in a very cliché bond.

Gypsie's innovative beats injected Spyder G's Old school lyrics with club-worthy syncopation to produce the Title track: "Hood Life Chapter" and other powerful R&B ballads like "Can I be Your Lover" and "Two Guys 1 Heart". In tandem Spyder G kept his streets roots reminiscent with "Yuh Don Guawn Down" and "Glimmer Man" and the infectious club hits: " Oooweee" and "Huh Ya Body Babay"

The media has always been kind to Garland (now Spyder G) and very supportive of all his efforts as a progressive, forward thinking artist - The CBC, CFQC-TV (CTV) - Saskatoon, The Star Phoenix, The Gravelbourg Tribune, CFCR-FM (Saskatoon), and E-Clips Channel 7 (Regina). And he wishes to thank them publicly for all their support in the past. His former board member colleagues at SaskMusic of 4 yeas also support his efforts and have been instrumental in assisting his growth to this level.
