“Eh bien le voilà le gros coup de cœur du type « nom d’une pipe en bois d’où est-ce qu’il sort ce groupe avec ce single que je m’écoute en boucle depuis 2 semaines » ? Il a eu du mal à venir, mais le voilà, il s’appelle Sporting Life. C’est un quatuor de San Francisco qui fait de l’indie-rock sous influence eighties et sixties, autant vous dire que ça s’écoute aussi facilement que j’ingurgite des toasts au foie gras le 24 décembre au soir. Cet album est une collection de singles enregistrés entre mars 2010 et septembre 2011, autrement dit ils ont vraiment choisi la crème de la crème. C’est un de ces disques sans faute, avec en prime l’un de mes morceaux préférés de l’année, « Immigrant », qui, allez savoir pourquoi, me fait penser à « Horse With No Name » de America. J’sais pas trop pourquoi, il y a un côté nostalgique, c’est un putain de morceau, la mélodie est entêtante au possible, je vais l’écouter quelques milliers de fois, ”
