BIOGRAPHY

Spesh K is an elite emcee equipped with intricate flows, dynamic rhyme schemes, and a knack for rocking the crowd. Spesh K thrives during a live atmosphere. Known for his witty punch lines, topical tracks, and energetic live shows, Spesh K is constantly putting in work. He has shared the stage with artists such as Ghostface, Cappadonna, Irs, The Game, Lupe Fiasco, Choclair, Classified, Special Ed, K'naan, and more. Six albums deep, far from a rookie, Spesh K has garnered a great deal of national media coverage and video/radio play. Spesh K "Media Coverage" was released in November 2006 by Urbnet, and his next release "The Main Event" exposes the artists growth and maturity.

"The Main Event" was recorded entirely in Montreal, and features appearances by Sadat X (from Brand Nubian), Moka Only, Mic Boyd, Copywrite, and more. Its title track earned Spesh, along with Hotbox & DJ Y Rush and East Coast Music Award (ECMA) in 2009 for hip hop single of the year.

Since 1998 Spesh has performed in Halifax, St. John’s, Fredricton, Truro, Cincinatti, Indiana, Vermont (US Open), New York, Montreal (Under Pressure), Belleville, Hamilton, Milton, Picton, Barrie, Ottawa, London, Toronto (Manifesto), Kingston, Ottawa, and everywhere in between  breaking out on the world stage of HIP HOP.

With an Unparalleled live performance, and an uncanny hunger for the microphone as a tool for self expression Spesh K is poised to be acknowledged as one of Canada's greatest hip hop artists. 90209 Is the next release for Spesh K (Sept 2nd 2009).  Its a DVD/CD combo with many highlights of the Classified 'Self Explanitory' tour, recording the album, a visit to the zoo, and more.
