““On behalf of everyone at Gray Matters Music Jam (GMMJ), THANK YOU! Your generosity and support of GMMJ helped raise $27,260 for the University of Wisconsin’s Carbone Cancer, every dollar of which will directly benefit brain cancer research. We’re still receiving contributions and final number continues to grow. Over 630 people attended the first Gray Matters Music Jam and enjoyed some of the best music east of the Mississippi. The Red Hot Horn Dawgs, Soul Candy with Traffic Jam and the Screamin’ Cucumbers rocked the house! And special thanks to Mark Pender who willingly gave his time and awesome trumpet skills over the entire weekend. We can’t thank you enough for giving of your time and talent – we could not have done it without you!””
“This band has a terrific sound & fun music for everyone. Comprised of local musicians from various musical backgrounds, the 3 female leads sing together in the style reminiscent of Motown females (Aretha Franklin), 70’s/80’s pop groups (ABBA, Brenda Carlisle), & groups in the past decade (Girls Aloud). These ladies are active in the local community theatre scene, so they add a theatrical flair to the show. The guys get their turn at vocals as well, performing songs by artists such as the Rolling Stones & Joe Cocker. With former & current members of well known, established area bands KnoxVegas, The Atomic Horns, The Homewreckers & even a former member of the Wayne Cochran & The CC Riders band of the famed 1970’s music & Hollywood scene, there's never a dull moment when they’re on stage! With this many tools in the shed, the Traffic Jam can play just about any song they want: Rock & Roll, Rhythm & Blues, Country, Disco, & even Ska! All in all, The Traffic Jam ROCKS!”
“We can’t say enough about your wonderful band! Thank you for providing an incredible night of entertainment in our efforts to money for the orphanages associated with Project Being There. Your high energy, talented voices, and the fun presence presented on stage made our night a very special one. Thank you for your talents and generosity…”
