Q: Some say Carlos Bubblegum...i.e...slack jaw...actually wrote every song. Was he taken advantage of because of his shy nature and willingness to just "go along, to get along" attitude?

A: This question arises more often than one would think. It's also quite erroneous to call Carlos shy. He was a quiet man of few words, no doubt, but he embraced the 60's cultured head on. He attended many rallies, at which he simply "absorbed the spirit of the masses." Whether this lead to the rumors referred to in earlier posts that Carlos actually wrote every song, and that Soda and Marky stole his thunder by claiming writing credits, and thereby establishing the song-writing-duo model later stolen (ironically?) by other famous artists, is still debatable. Nonetheless, not much can be said because of the standing gag order issued from the famous supreme court case, decided just after the trio's simultaneous deaths, regarding rights to awesomeness, often sited as Soda et. al. v. Carlos et. al (a case carried on post mortem by all parties spouses, as all spouses were tremendously litigious, which ultimately lead to the simultaneous bankruptcy filings by each spouse on the same day). As this was the only supreme court case ever to be closed the public with records sealed to perpetuity, we can only guess as to the true nature of the proceedings. It is further rumored that justices Earl Warren, Hugo Black, and Felix Frankfurter were big SodaPop and Marky fans, while justices John Marshall Harlan II, Potter Stewart, and Charles Evans Whittaker were fans of the underground sound of the then fledgling F-n-C Factory Fun House. Nothing is known of justices William O. Douglas, Tom C. Clark, or William J. Brennan, Jr.'s musical preferences...although it is further rumored Douglas was partial to surf music, and Brennan loved ambient space rock lacking form or actual structure, leading many to believe that, even in their deaths, Soda and Marky were victorious.
