Social Call / Press

“Larry Werner is a Lehigh Valley native guitarist/vocalist who has been a member of multiple bands including Spitshine, Jolly Roger, The Connie Edinger Duo and, currently, Social Call. He is also a producer and owner of Werner Studio's in Bethlehem, Pa. Larry has a wealth of performing experience entertaining fans of all ages with his proficiency and party-driven attitude which pumps up any crowd. Larry is an entertainer first and foremost and a musician’s musician at his core. There is never a dull moment when Larry is on the stage, whether demonstrating his work with original material or evoking AC/DC in both guitar and vocals, the party vibe is infectious and wallflowers don’t stand a chance.”

““We got together and we decided to play great songs that we love to play that everybody else would like to hear and I think that’s the real essence of Social Call; you know - that vibe - that souped-up, howling rock-n-roll aesthetic! How many times have you heard Frampton Comes Alive?? Let’s do it but do it our way.” .Joe said, “The Valley is great to us. We love the Lehigh Valley. I think we can make new fans no matter where we go. The variety of music we do is going to be great no matter what town we’re in.” With Social Call, you really get the sense of the blue collar work ethic and camaraderie that these guys share as a group. According to Joe, “There’s really no egos. We all get along. Shane can be a ballbuster but we know it’s all for the good.” Larry chimed in, “Joe can be a ballbuster, too.” Joe replied, “I can be an asshole but we all know our role and we can laugh it off. We’re too old to worry about it.””

Mitch - The Valley Beat

“Also going on tonight over in Northampton will be The Hammerheads Thanksgiving Eve party featuring Social Call. Social Call hit the ground running about a year ago with four veteran area rockers in Larry Werner, Shane Stoneback, Dan Lacy, and Joe Cenchitz. Social Call will pack the house at The Hammerhead, which they usually do, so if you are heading here, you probably want to get to this show early too. Too bad for me, I cannot divide myself in two to go check out this show too. Social Call is a great time and have a good time entertaining their crowd. Just make sure you have your drink ready, for you never know when you are going to hear “Social”! ”
