Bio
Smooth Operation was formed by Steve Banks with former Ah Yeah band member Brent Cimbalik. The group was eventually joined by outstanding bassist Raphael Banks and renowned keyboardist OVACiiR. Together they form the funky smooth seductive sound with major influences the Yellowjackets, keyboardist Oscar Peterson and Herbie Hancock, guitarist Norman Brown and Pat Metheny, as well as xylophonist Roy Aryes.

Smooth Operation draws its musical style from Jazz artist The Yellowjackets, keyboardist Oscar Peterson and Herbie Hancock, vibraphonist Roy Ayers, and guitarist Pat Metheny as well as Norman Brown. Smooth Operation’s style is funky yet smooth and easy to which you can dance, especially for Ball Roomers. They also perform love songs as well as some Motown for that joyful event. Smooth Operation is a classy group, which does not promote profanity or vulgarity as they entertain in a clean positive fashion.
