Mr. Man got his start as a songwriter at Motown, where one of his first songs was recorded by Angela Bofill on her critically-acclaimed debut CD, Angie. Slim Man was also a member of the band BootCamp, which had 2 of the first 100 videos ever played on MTV. The Slim Man Band was started in 1994, had a Top Ten Hit the following year, and has been recording and touring ever since.
