Slightly Generic are an dynamic pop punk trio emerging from a scene in North Wales, Flintshire. Formed in the Summer of 2007, this promising band bleeds potential with a solid, accessible pop punk sound driven by catchy hooks and razor sharp lyrics. Pushing forward an already established genre, the band strives to create relatable and memorable music.

Already making waves within their local scene, Slightly Generic’s live shows create both an energetic and engaging experience with unique performances that are highly regarded by many fans. The band has earned a great deal of experience playing a variety of shows in many areas of the UK. Most notably Liverpool Cavern whereby the band filled a 53 seater coach from their hometown (19 miles from the venue) to the show and back. This gig ended for the band like many others, with the contact number of the venue and the proposition to return again for another exciting show.

In October 2007, three months into the bands career, Slightly Generic already established a following, much due to the co-organizing or an Oxjam event in a local venue. The night, which is still considered by many to be one of the greatest gigs ever in Flintshire, gathered over 600 people raising over £2500.

Most recently in May 2008, the band released their long-awaited first EP. This was created and released in true DIY fashion, with the band taking care of everything themselves. The disk was all self produced, recorded, mixed, constructed and promoted. Even the EP release show was handled through the band; all of which accumulated too many fans giving positive feedback of both the night and the EP.

Slightly Generic are a band full aware of their potential. Without taking themselves too seriously they have found a good balance of professionalism and enjoyment with what they are creating. They have a strong determination to achieve all of their goals, and with a good business sense and their hearts in the right places, nothing is going to stop them.
