The band members were involved with different projects, when they decided to join forces and influences to become Slickfist. They wanted to take their vast musical experience and merge it with something new. Classic rock with a twist. "We just want to have a good time" says Chris Farrell bassist.

Slickfist is currently working with producer David Prater (Dream Theater, Firehouse and Night Ranger) on a new CD for release in late 2009. The current CD Subharmonic Addiction released in 2007 was produced by Bobby Blotzer (Ratt, Angels of the Underground) and is available on CD Baby, Napster, I Tunes and many online retailers.

In 2007 Slickfist won the MACT Groovy Award for Outstanding Live Performance.

In 2008 Slickfist was a finalist for the Independent Music Awards Album of the Year, for Subharmonic Addiction.

2009 Independent Music Award Vox Populi Winner for Best Rock/Metal Album!

Slickfist has performed at Rock the Bayou and the Texas Rockfest.

Slickfist is a Bud Light True Music band.

Past what people believe is the mainstream power enigma in Texas, which is being driven by other things than talent and performance. There is no doubt in my mind that this band is one of Texas's elite groups of musicians. Their songs are well arranged and produced, containing the quality of compositions that other highly recognized bands lack. This added to a live performance level that is worthy of any stage. My compliments are truly rare as to how I view other musicians, but I can freely say this band is one of the best in the Lone Star State. -John Porter, composer arranger Raging Saint.
