A WORLD IN COMA RELEASE: 1-1-2012 hear it at sleepsiren.bandcamp.com

Formed in the conflagration of 15 years of writing original music to share with other bands, Jon Snead began composing his own sound that would become Sleep Siren. In the spring of 2009, Snead approached former band mate and long time friend, Jesse Frizzell, about composing drums to go along with the bass, guitars, and vocals he had written for "The Alice E.P." After minimal coercion, Frizzell agreed, and the two approached...

Press

“It's Sleep Siren 'A World In Coma', and it's a monster. I've been listening to this nearly non-stop (whilst typing my year end post), and I'm loving it. Their EP 'Alice EP' caught my attention earlier last year. They really have an interesting sound. There's definitely a Tool vibe, particularly the singer. He really has a cool voice and adds an interesting dimension to the music. Speaking of the music, it's very, very good. Lots of atmosphere, cool compositions and great playing...everything I look for in my prog metal. The songs are long and have a nice range of tempos and moods, but the album stays consistent with itself. It's nice and heavy, but with a wide range of dynamics. There's even some nice solos sprinkled around. Man, I'm really digging this.”
