Remember having fun? Remember singing along to songs you could relate to?  Remember all those ska shows where after dancing in the pit all night you couldn't feel your legs for a week?  We do.  We started in 2006 and after a bunch of lineup changes we've finally settled on a bunch of awesome people that contribute to this band.  Some people say ska is dead, but I say it just needs a swift kick in the ass.  Skanking in the streets aims to please the growing Long Island ska scene and drop all the petty excuses and just have some fun.  Ya dig?

Our influences include (but are not limited to): Bomb the Music Industry!, High School Football Heroes, Streetlight Manifesto, Mustard Plug, Reel Big FIsh, Drop It Jeffrey, Big D, The Slackers, Operation Ivy and that really cozy feeling you get when you go to a local show.
