Anand Vyas is an American artist (Born in Queens N.Y.) He has spent a large portion of his life in India, learning the Ragas and Classical Music of India. He is Ustad Sultan Khan's only disciple who plays the Sitar rather than the Sarangi. He is also the innovator of the bowed Sitar. Anand's Ghanda-Bandhan (the traditional teacher-disciple ceremony) was held in India.
