Síochána is a roots band based in St. John’s, Nfld. Formed 12 years ago, playing a mixture of Traditional Newfoundland, bluegrass, Celtic, folk and some old rock and roll music.
Síochána is available for conferences, weddings, festivals, night clubs and private functions.

“Síochána is a group from St. John's, Newfoundland and is right up there with Great Big Sea and The Fables!
For a band that does this for a hobby (the band is actually made up of 5 police officers and one fireman) they sound very professional to me, and my favourite song, "Dance Me Away" sure brings out the emotions, especially when you go to my board and read the lyrics.

I'm going to be airing a one hour long Celtic/East Coast show twice weekly beginning late March or early April. It was actually their music that gave me the idea.
The CD is excellent...the original songs are awesome!

New CD

Siochana have recently finished recording it's long awaited second CD. It is now in the hands of Robert Kelly who is mixing it and will also master it before sending it off to press.
This CD will have 12 songs, 8 new orignal songs and 4 cover or trads.
This has been a long process as we (Jim Feehan) engineered this project ourselves.
