Simple Jack / Press

“Full length interview with Dead Daves Radio available here. Page 20-23.”

“Hitting the stage next was Simple Jack…just saw these guys last weekend at Voodoo and if I can make it out to their gigs I always go to support them. The thing I love most about these 5 guys is not only are they the most humble band out there but they emanate professionalism, hard work, the drive to be off the chain at every show and the fact that they are 5 of the most talented, good natured and sweetest guys you will ever meet. I am going to be off the chain and bluntly honest here when I say Shaun Miller is “Sex On The Mic”! His range of vocals Saturday night was unbelievable. I don’t know if he is taking vocal lessons or just doing vocal exercises but in the past month I can see a change coming. His charisma and stage presence is combined with the vocal influences of Chris Cornell, Layne Staley, Corey Taylor mixed with Blink-182…LADIES…You can’t get any more sexier than that!! Moving right along to Chris Supik on guitar…Chris’ leads were off the chain Saturday nig”

“Taking the stage next with all the grace and poise was Simple Jack…I might say I am a bit bias when it comes to Shaun, Jarrod, Brian, Chris and Tyler for the simple (jack) reason that they are great friends of mine and have supported the hell outta me since I first came onto the Original Music Scene here. 5 of the nicest and most talented guys you ever want to meet. Their music ranges from reggae riff driven rock metal punk, is that even a genre? …It is now because Simple Jack says so! These guys always deliver the most upbeat show with Shaun’s vocals being spot on to near perfection. Jarrod’s guitar riffs are quintessential to the sound emanating from this groups talent as always Chris, Brian and Tyler round out the perfection of this band that will keep you dancing, jamming and throwing up metal horns all at the same time…all night long. Simple Jack is gearing up to go on the Vans Warped Tour 2014 as well with a Buzz Rating of 77%...Check the link to vote for them now http”

“Simple Jack will also expand their dates this coming week, as they play their usual standing Monday evening at The Beached Whale, as well as adding a new venue on Friday evening. This coming Friday Simple Jack will perform all original music at Rack em Billiards, in Cape Coral and show begins at 9:00 PM. Another first for this new local gem of a band is when they take the stage at The Beached Whale this Saturday evening at 10 PM. This will be their first weekend gig at the Whale and all the best to these boys! It is highly recommended that all local music fans catch Simple Jack this week, you will not be disappointed as they pack great talent and a great show.”

“Simple Jack closed this show in a solid fashion as yet another new band on this hot SW Florida scene. This band started as a hobby and got a shot at a month to play at The Beached Whale for a month and landed a steady Monday gig. Simple Jack is another gem that is shooting out of the sand along this sand bar of SW Florida, they are a versatile and solid group when they plug in and strike that first chord on stage. These boys play reggae/ska covers, other alternative favorites. They do impeccable jobs on covers from Weezer; however, they have an ace up their sleeve on a special cover that no other band has covered, locally here or anywhere in this fans music history. Simple Jack does a perfect rendition of 'Perfect' from the Red Hot Chili Peppers on their Stadium Arcadium release, that I have never heard done better other than the only other band to play this tune live and that is the Peppers themselves.”

“A vamped up and fabulous weekend of music ensued, as 10,000 Views took over the Whale for the weekend, then opened the Donnie Plowman Poker Run Party at Cadillac Jack's on Saturday. Simple Jack made another appearance on this grand local scene, as did Afterlife on this Cadillac stage. Troublemakerz were gracious to play one song and lend the stage and equipment to Brian Carpenter and Tim Rossi from Blackfoot for a mini set with JJ Armstrong on lead vocals.”

“I took in a show from a new band on the Whale rotation called, Simple Jack Monday evening and this group of lads sound fabulous. They play more of a reggae/ska style first set and toss in covers from Weezer and Sublime and then it progresses on up to closing with Rage Against the Machine, for a grand finale. Timmy Johnston, of 10,000 Views, sat in on the drums with Simple Jack this week and it made for a great evening!”

“The Beached Whale will bring you a grand week with Soapy Tuna on Sunday's, Simple Jack on Monday, 10,000 Views on Wednesday evenings and always a great weekend bands that provide a rotation to leave the local fans eager for the variety of sound this place provides. Best food, staff and drinks on the island of Ft. Myers Beach.”
