The son of a pianist and arranger, Simon wrote and performed songs from an early age. Self-taught on guitar and piano, he was once an integral member of the renowned Northumberland band, Morgan Le Fay.
"I am attracted always first to songs", he states, "not to the artist who perform them. A great song is a great song, regardless of how 'cool' or fashionable the singer or band performing it are perceived to be".
Early in 2008 after spending a week in Crete with Nashville recording artist and producer, Kevin Montgomery, ex Brookes & Dunn drummer Dale Dorman, and the legendary Tommy Allsup, one-time guitarist with Buddy Holly, he returned home with a rejuvenated hunger, resulting in the release of Contracts For The Sale Of Land in 2009.
