The Girls From Oz - www.girlsfromozgroup.com Following their sell-out Easter Extravaganza last April, The Girls From Oz, (and their Pommy Pianist), are making their Crazy Coqs debut with their sparkly new show THE GIRLS FROM OZ AUSTRALIA DAY SHOW. This Australia Day, they'll be putting their unique vintage spin on hits from musicals and jazz standards, and with their cheeky Aussie banter, the girls will also pay tribute to Aussie legends, Kylie, Slim Dusty and Vegemite! Although the girls have been making fabulous music together for only a year, they've been friends for much longer... and always will be, as they know one and other's naughty little secrets! The Girls From Oz are Miss Kara Lane (Creator/Director), Miss Simone Craddock and Miss Julie Yammanee. They are led by award-winning, Musical Supervisor/Conductor and Cabaret Artist, Mr Simon Beck, at the piano. The Girls have each enjoyed dazzling careers in Musicals and Jazz clubs, both internationally and in London's West End. Between them they have played leading roles such as Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes, Magenta in The Rocky Horror Show, Grace Farrell in Annie, Irene Molloy in Hello, Dolly!, Christmas Eve in Avenue Q and Nancy in Oliver! to name a few!

The Girls From Oz - www.girlsfromozgroup.com Following their sell-out Easter Extravaganza last April, The Girls From Oz, (and their Pommy Pianist), are returning to The Pheasantry with their sparkly new show THE GIRLS FROM OZ AUSTRALIA DAY SHOW. Rugby, WAR, UK | 7:30pm

In 1994, Simon performed the leading role of 'MC' in the musical 'Cabaret' at Rugby Theatre, as a young amateur. A year later he became a part of the professional community, conducting Andrew Lloyd Webber's mega musical 'Sunset Blvd' in it's European premier in Germany. Now, 20 years later, having performed all over the world with many leading artists from Victoria Wood, via Elaine Paige, to the 'Phantom' himself, Ramin Karimloo, and hot from performing to 15,000 people nightly with Monty Python at London's O2 arena, he brings his solo concert show back to his home town and Rugby Theatre for the first time for this very special 'one night only' event. Backed by his 7 piece band of London's leading musicians and backing singers, and with two special guests, star of 'Mamma Mia' in London's West End, Kim Ismay, and classical music recording artist, Justine Balmer (www.justinebalmer.com), this is a night not to be missed! Press from his last appearance in the area :- "Simon wowed the sell out audience (with his) special talent, for a truly spellbinding two hours, all of which passed far too quickly. (A) truly memorable event" - Rugby Advertiser (Feb 13, 2006)

"The real stars are the musicians. (With) conductor (Simon Beck) they bring Bernstein's tough score to life with incredible ease. Do not take this performance for granted because there's little chance you'll hear anything like it in Woking again! Give the conductor and orchestra a standing ovation"

Status

Twitter_icon_for_status: A hugely rewarding session with the orchestra for #WestSideStory. I can't wait for the cast to meet them at #sitzprobe tomorrow! @RCStweets
