At long last, HyRev expands beyond house parties and Bands & Bellies concerts, to our first underground dance shindig!
Huzzah!!!
So here's the skinny...it's the night before the Oscars, so we thought it'd be fun to tie our theme into Hollywood. Costumes optional but encouraged...dress fancy like you're strutting down the red carpet...dress sexy like you're at the after-party...dress like any character from any film in the past year and make people guess...dress like any classic film character that's one of your fav's...have fun with this!
We're keeping the cover to a low $10, and proceeds to go supplies, rent at the warehouse, and HyRev productions.
There will be no bar/bartender, just bring whatever you'd like to drink/share! Must be 21 to be drinking alcohol (we'll have stamps or wristbands and check ID's at the door).

ENTERTAINMENT:
7pm to 7:30pm: YOU, arriving, on time or fashionably late...

7:30pm: FIRE DANCING!
Cheri Macoubrie Wilson and Nate Zieke will be spinning fire poi!
Solo fire dancers, please contact Alec if you'd like to spin!
Solo fire dancers will be dancing IN the warehouse. You'll spin out right outside, out back, then come inside to light up and perform. Sorry, but we can't have fire breathing at this venue. However, thanks a million for all the interest from performers!!!

9pm to 3am: Dance music!!!!!!!
One of our HyRev dj's will keep your feet boogeyin', your hips shakin', your chests shimmyin', your bods swayin' and poppin' to da music until 3am!!! Expect house, dubstep, pop, maybe even a few "we-can't-resist-playing-some-80's" tunes :)

FOOD:
Vegan treats from KARMA KITCHEN!!!
Bring some cash for delicious vegan appetizers/dance fuel!
Karma Kitchen is making Vegan veggie/tofu spring rolls with peanut sauce! Just $5. We'll also have some of KK's water boxes for $3.

BEVERAGES:
Whatever you bring! Alcohol, soda, whatever floats your boat, feel free to bring extra and share. Just know we're checking ID's and issuing wristbands for alcohol drinkers.
Additionally, we'll have Karma Kitchen's water boxes for $3, and Choffy for $2.

ART:
We're inviting artists who wish to display their paintings/drawings/etc to do so! You'll need to bring stands/easels, or prop them against walls. We're not asking any commission, just paid entry.

GLOW/FIRE:
We can't have crowds of people outside, and there's only room for one fire dancer at a time inside, when it's not too crowded. So if any fire dancers wish to come perform solos during the first hour, 7 to 8pm, reach out to us. Glow toys from Flow Artists welcomed all night long, indoors :)

THE PARTY IS INSIDE:
We're looking to keep this "underground", i.e. not attract attention, so unless you are smoking just outside the front door, plan to party indoors :)
