Foundry Entertainment Presents…The English Beat
Feb 2, 2013 at 8:00 PM
legend in the ska-revival genre, Birmingham’s The English Beat were an institution with songs like “The Tears Of a Clown” “Save It For Later” and “Mirrors In The Bathroom”. After seeing success signed to a label, they took the initiative to create their own label, which was distributed by Arista. Using this vehicle, they became taste-makers, and skyrocketed in popularity. They even had the conviction to sacrifice pop-success to take a very political direction with their music for a time. Active heavily from 1978-1983, they have reunited throughout the 2000’s to bring their legendary music back to the masses. Join us at The Melting Point on Saturday, February 2nd for a night you won’t soon forget.
