"Charlie Scopoletti Truth Concert & Charity Event"
Charlie Scopoletti defines his music as “Perspective Music”. A two time cancer survivor, his debut album “Truth” draws from the unique perspective of someone who’s faced and overcome adversity.
On March 7th, 2013, Charlie Scopoletti and his band will headline the Capitol Theatre in his hometown, Port Chester, NY for the “Truth Concert and Charity Event”. Charlie remembers "As a kid growing up in Westchester County, The Capitol was my Madison Square Garden. I passed it everyday, hoping one day I would perform there. I am now fulfilling that hope and I truly believe that dreams do come true!".
The concert will also benefit two charities that are close to his heart: the Natalia Crespo Eirin Foundation and Imerman Angels. A portion of all ticket sales will go to the charities, along with additional money raised.
The purposes of the event are to inspire people with Charlie’s story of being a two-time cancer survivor and touch them with his music, raise awareness and funds for charities, encourage charitable works, humanitarianism, a pay it forward mentality and bring the Port Chester, Westchester and CT communities together.
We hope you join us for what is to be a memorable night!
About the charities:
• Natalia Crespo Eirin Foundation
Natalia Crespo Eirin was Charlie Scopoletti’s best friend who lost her 14-year battle with a brain tumor in 2006 at the young age of 30. NCEF mission is to celebrate the power of how a single person can make a difference in the lives of others. The Foundation intends to shape grant- making programs to support several projects including, but not limited to, brain cancer awareness and research, college scholarships, helping the lives of others who have been diagnosed and/or living with cancer-related illnesses, making donations to families in need of support or relief, making grants to hospitals to improve care; and any other ways to help society, the community and individuals.
• Imerman Angels (One-on-One cancer support) Imerman Angels carefully matches and individually pairs a person touched by cancer (a cancer fighter or survivor) with someone who has fought and survived the same type of cancer (a Mentor Angel). Cancer caregivers (spouses, parents, children and other family and friends of fighters) also receive 1-on-1 connections with other caregivers and survivors. These 1-on-1 relationships inspire hope and offer the chance to ask personal questions and receive support from someone who is uniquely familiar with the experience. The service is absolutely free and helps anyone touched by any type of cancer, at any cancer stage level, at any age, living anywhere in the world.
