The Brew is an American independent rock band founded in the small town
of Amesbury, Massachusetts by high school friends. Brothers Chris and Joe
Plante joined guitarist Dave Drouin and drummer Kelly Kane in 2002. Kane
left the band in 2012 and was replaced by longtime fan and drummer Aaron
Opening for Bruce Hornsby in 2006, The Brew met Bobby Read, producer
and saxophonist for Hornsby's band. On the spot, The Brew and Read
decided to do a record together, resulting in 2008's Back to the Woods, with
singles like "Chance Reaching" (still spinning on Sirius XM radio) lifted the
band to national exposure.
Opening the night will be Keaton Simons
With a depth and richness similar to some of the best songwriters like John Lennon and Bob Dylan, masterful, fluid and bluesy guitar playing comparable to Jimi Hendrix and early Eric Clapton, and a voice as authentic and soul baring as Ray Charles, LA-based singer/songwriter Keaton Simons stands as a dynamic musician with a sound all his own. Keaton has worked as a writer, musical director, singer, bassist and guitarist with notable acts like Gnarls Barkley, Black Eyed Peas, Snoop Dogg, Tre Hardson of The Pharcyde, Ben Harper and Josh Kelley. In addition, Keaton has opened for Coldplay, REO Speedwagon, Pat Benatar and Train, written with Jason Mraz and Hanson, and acted as the face of Advanced Guitar for the new Xbox game Rocksmith. His music has been heard in dozens of feature films and television shows, including Private Practice, NCIS, Malcolm in the Middle and Crash. http://www.fb.com/keatonsimonsmusic
