For almost 4 years, on the first and 3rd Tuesday of the month, TV Nights have been showcasing some of the finest up and coming troubadours and musicians of the current thriving live scene in London.
Kicking off the night, we have fantastic guitarist and singer songwriter JAN SMOSARSKI whose sites Jeff Buckly and BB King as influences. Following on from him, we have West London based 5 piece DU BELLOWS whose songs range from folk-inspired gentility through to bluesy gospel and funky melodic rock, with always thoughtful and poetic lyrics. Following on from them are the fantastic Manchester based TAWSE. We then have the return of our incredible resident SAM BRADLEY. Having returned to his native England after a while away in Canada, Sam has sold out venues across the world and has just returned from a nationwide tour of the US with Marcus Foster. Meshing soul, folk and rock, his live performances are a mixture of charming anecdotes and a colorful array of both potent originality and diversity. We then introduce you to JP JONES. A highly successful musician who has gone through various guises from co writing and touring with Chrissie Hynde to fronting up Grace, he will be releasing his first solo album entitled ‘Son of Jack’ which is due for release in January 2013 on 429 Records. Closing this packed bill is newly formed THE SEA & I. The new side project of Hoosiers frontman Irwin Sparkes and composer Paul Frith, they are about to release their first EP which was recorded with legendary producer Ian Grimble.
