His dad, a country steel guitar player, always had guitar players coming through the house. Gary gleaned a chord here, a scale there, and eventually became an accomplished musician. He played his way through college in various country music bands and eventually started his own group with brother Kevin and hometown friends Joe LePage and Bobby Tavares. They were called Alive n’ Pickin’ and shared the stage with John Hartford, Crystal Gayle, Jesse Winchester and many others. As a solo performer, Gary showcases his fingerstyle chops and strong vocals. He has opened for Iris Dement and Cheryl Wheeler, and has been the featured act in many clubs and coffee houses around New England. "Gary Farias is the consummate interpreter of the song. Whether it be a 16th century English folk tune or a modern day folk song, Gary infuses his intricate guitar work and strong vocal delivery to make it his very own." Ryan Connearney is a native of Fall River, MA. He started out playing saxophone and drums in school, them moved on to keyboards, vocals, guitar, and bass. Ryan began performing in public at a very young age, appearing at venerable local music venues like the Waterstreet Cafe. He has been a member of several highly-regarded bands, including AlterEgo and the CJ Solar Band in Nashville. Ryan's talents and stage experience also extend to the world of musical theater, and he hosts the popular "It's An Old Hick Friday" podcast. Justin Marra is a talented singer-songwriter devoted to all types of music, especially the sounds of the previous generation. He has transformed his introspective journal entries and electric garage band tunes into a fresh folky upbeat sound reflecting the influences of classic singer-songwriters. Socially conscious, and humorous at times, he and his work are best described as eclectic.
