CASH CROP, SMALL TALK & COLD BLUE MOUNTAIN
DOORS: 8 PM / SHOW: 9 PM
CASH CROP: We were getting older and our lives weren't getting any better. We like to think we exist in an attempt to make more active steps toward moments of transcendence and adventure, however fleeting they might be. We would love to play at your dive bar, DIY spot, art space, basement, pizza parlor, burrito joint, etc, preferably not on a stage.
SMALL TALK: Featuring members of Colossus of Roads, Mister Valentine, Daysleeper and Arcadius bringing the noise in the vein of Future of the left, Rye Coalition & Pot Brownie.
COLD BLUE MOUNTAIN: Cold Blue Mountain is a Chico, CA-based five piece combining equal parts doom, sludge, anthemic post-metal, beards, cheap beer and bad jokes for a crushing, pretense-free sound. Though initially formed as a three-piece instrumental outfit, Cold Blue Mountain slowly morphed into its current form, including vocalist Brandon Squyres, guitarists Will McGahan and Sesar Sanchez, bassist Adrian Hammons and drummer Daniel Taylor. The band recently recorded their debut full length, a nine-song epic tracked at Origami Lounge studios in Chico, mixed by Chris Keene and mastered at The Boiler Room in Chicago by Collin Jordan. The yet-untitled record spans the full spectrum of heaviness from the riff-heavy, uptempo “Branch Davidian Compound” to the dirge-like “Post Traumatic Stress Disorder”, touching on the bands’ broad array of influences and the band members’ past, and current, multitude of musical projects.
