This year we will mark the 10 year anniversary of 9/11/01. In the past decade, we have lost lives of our young men and women to ongoing wars, as well as the loss of lives of men, women, and children in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iraq. In the past decade, the heart, minds, and spirits of many of our fellow citizens have given in to hatred and intolerance, while others of our brothers and sisters have been the victims and recipients of this growing mistrust and prejudice. In observance and response, let us gather in a multifaith call for peace – students, teachers, religious leaders, activists, artists, liberals and conservatives. Let us listen to stories, songs, and the reality of our experiences. Let Muslims, Jews, Christians, Atheists, Pagans, Humanists, Native Peoples, and all those who seek wisdom find their words respected. This event is open to community members and organizations dedicated to human diversity and cultural dialogue.
Clio will perform a couple of songs appropriate for the event.
