Blues & songs: A concert & wine-tasting
25th May 2012, 7pm-10pm
at the Ravenscourt Glasshouses
As part of the Chelsea Fringe
Hammersmith Community Gardens
presents a mellow evening of music, songs & good wine in the lovely surroundings of the greenhouses in Ravenscourt Park, Hammersmith W6
The glasshouses have recently been completely restored by Hammersmith & Fulham Council and are now the main base for the HCGA. During the week various groups use the greenhouses to practise their horticultural skills and benefit from the therapeutic effects of gardening. For this event the glasshouses will be at their most beautiful – a transparent showcase of flowers, foliage and edible planting to host two veteran British blues players, an up ‘n’ coming young singer-songwriter and a group of youngsters from Hammersmith Music Service.
With a glass of cold prosecco to welcome visitors, and a selection of interesting wines to taste, this promises to be an enjoyable evening par excellence.
There will also be a silent auction with amazing prizes donated by local businesses
